About CPJC
The Campaign for Peace and Justice in Chhattisgarh (CPJC) was set up in November 2006 and consists of groups and individuals who are concerned at the serious and ongoing violations of human rights and civil war conditions in Bastar division of Chhattisgarh, comprising the districts of Bastar, Dantewada, Sukma, Bijapur, Kanker, Narayanpur, and Kondagaon. CPJC started in the wake of the state sponsored vigilante force Salwa Judum, but its focus includes natural resources, militarism, on-going human rights violations, and adivasi social, political, and cultural rights.
